About
Kelsey Klein, a pianist and singer-songwriter, hails from the artistic haven of Ojai, California. Kelsey's musical journey began at the tender age of five when she first laid her fingers on the ivory keys. The instrument quickly became her passion and a means of expressing her inner world.
She trained classically for over ten years and began composing at the age of 12, citing Chopin, Enya, Moby, and later Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, and Kate Bush as influences.
The last couple of years have been a transformative period in her music career, marked by her time spent at the renowned La Fabrique recording studio in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. This sanctuary for artists seeking inspiration and solitude has been the birthplace of her debut EP, La Fabrique Sessions, a deeply personal body of work that embodies her journey and experiences.

Klein’s debut comes at a moment when audiences are craving stripped-back, emotionally honest music. With intimate performances on the horizon and resonance with early listeners, La Fabrique Sessions feels less like an arrival and more like a return — a reintroduction on her own terms.

Klein’s songs are based on her life perspective, ranging from herself, to loved ones, to experiences. “I really like my songs to feel almost like a film photograph. It’s capturing one specific moment and those moments, you can’t contrive them.”

“What I’m most proud of is that I’ve never chased trends. I don’t write for virality or to attract any particular audience. I’ve evolved my craft over the years, but no matter what, my DNA is embedded — it just sounds like “Kelsey.” Of course, I want my music to resonate with millions and achieve mass-market success, but that’s not the objective at the moment of inception. The only mandate is to serve the song that was given to me.”
